Lucid Dreams image

Through their practices, the two artists explore the legacies of intimate histories woven from the connections between multiple geographies and identities. They transmit these stories through subtle narrative and installation practices, inviting the public to enter a disclosed intimacy. These works meet in their common approach to the image-narrative, mixing cinema with the personal and public archive and making installations the medium of new poetic and political forms of presenciality.

Camille Kaiser (1992, CH/FR) is an artist and researcher based in Geneva. She recently received the Kiefer Hablitzel Foundation Special Prize at the Swiss Art Awards 2022. She is currently preparing a solo exhibition at the Aargauer Kunsthaus scheduled for spring 2023. Julie Sando (1993, CH/JP) is an artist and filmmaker based between Lausanne and Geneva. Her latest film Fuku Nashi (2022) won the first prize in the National Competition and the Zonta Award at the international film festival Visions du Réel.
