hommage à mon fils Abdoul Môh Dramane image

This second exhibition of the year is a double presentation: Môh Dramane’s work stems from the urgency to testify to loss and absence – of papers, housing, work, family – but also from the need to recreate and share something beautiful. On the other hand, Noemi Pfister reflects on alternative lifestyles; her concern focuses on problems caused by humanity’s relentless pursuit of progress, such as increasing social inequalities and the mutation of biological systems. She imagines the inhabitants of a fictional society who become the protagonists of her works. These two approaches, blending political elements with personal experiences, converge in their profound essence.

Môh Dramane’s exhibition is accompanied by the launch of the publication ‘Les Rues’.

Môh Dramane, also known as Cissé Ibrahim (Abidjan, Ivory Coast), is an artist living in Lausanne. While working as a mechanic in his uncle’s garage in Abidjan, in 2002, he fled the onset of the civil war and arrived in Switzerland. By late 2007, he began self-teaching himself drawing and painting. Since then, he has exhibited in various places, including Sang Bleu in Zurich in 2022, EMS la Vernie - Fondation La Primerose in Crissier in 2021, Maison de quartier de la Pontaise in Lausanne in 2016, etc.
