Hard-Won Images 2 image

Following the first part of the project at Espace 3353 in Geneva, Hard-Won Images 2 presents a series of five videos resulting from Roman Selim Khereddine’s research in Morocco. In two video essays, the artist describes the navigation of seemingly very distinct sites – a dog market and a cemetery. This diptych is complemented by two video installations that reference Moroccan animal fables. Acting as a link between the two parts of the exhibition, and as a dialogue between the spaces – Espace 3353 in Geneva and Tunnel Tunnel in Lausanne – the Pit Bull Terrier that already appeared in Hard-Won Images is still being tossed around by its owner in an endless loop. The exhibition is accompanied by a text by Jackie Poloni and the artist’s book MALINWA.
