Tunnel Tunnel is pleased to kickstart the season with Zoé Cornelius’s first solo exhibition:

Purger les radiateurs

Meanwhile, a small ad: I’ve always wanted my home to be fully protected. Oh yes? but what exactly are you afraid of? Of the curse of being human, perhaps. Of the inability to conceive what form will take this God to come? If the belly speaks through the mouth, who speaks through us?

For her first solo exhibition at Tunnel Tunnel, the young artist’s work unfolds in the disjointed spaces formed by the architecture, echoing the square on which the building is situated. Scattered – just like the pieces of the butchers who once populated the Tunnel market – but reassembled by the same chimerical need, the artist’s works blend with the space with which she skilfully uses.

Having received a Bachelor in Visual Arts in 2017 from ECAL, Zoé Cornelius practices multiple disciplines: video, sculpture, installation and performance.
