Following Hunter and Immortality, Tunnel Tunnel welcomes back the young artist Giulia Essyad for her third solo exhibition:
Herstory
In 2016, in the midst of the collapse of patriarchy and therefore of capitalism, Essyad presents a profound study of women’s history (Herstory) that has been forgotten in schools – and more broadly in Western culture. Essyad will be joined by American feminist historian Max Dashù, who notably founded the Suppressed Histories Archives in 1970.
An expert on the history of women on our planet, Dashù will present her conference:
Patriarcats: systèmes de domination – perspectives globales de l’oppression des femmes
The conference, in French, discusses the foundations of patriarchy to better understand our civilization and the state of the world today.
A selection of Giulia Essyad’s books integrates her exhibition and becomes matter for further exchanges and the possibility of photocopying certain passages.
