Tunnel Tunnel is pleased to invite you Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 6:00 PM to the opening of the exhibition: Public of Clémentine Adou
Clémentine Adou (*1988) lives and works in Paris. Her work follows a logic of economical production and resources, through processes of subtraction and layering that involve objects and materials from everyday life. Political concerns thus permeate her work, through spatial or contextual forms that bring visibility and constraint processes to the fore. Through displacement and emphasis, her pieces expose these mechanisms—while also inviting a form of visual decluttering, attentiveness, or passivity in a contemporary society structured by power, control, and consumption. She recently exhibited at Kunstverein Freiburg and was nominated in 2024 for the Pernod Ricard Foundation Prize. She has had solo or duo exhibitions at Les Bains-Douches (Alençon), Tonus (Paris), DOC (Paris), Palette Terre (Paris), and 76.4 (Brussels), and has participated in group shows at Lagune Ouest (Copenhagen), Balice Hertling (Paris), La Salle de Bains (Lyon), Treize (Paris), Colette Mariana (Barcelona), Florence Loewy (Paris), Bel Ami (Los Angeles), Shivers Only (Paris), and High Art (Paris).
