Tunnel Tunnel is pleased to invite you Friday, September 19, 2025 at 6:00 PM to the opening of the exhibition: Je ne peux que parler d’amour et du bleu du ciel of Alexandra Sheherazade Salem
Alexandra Sheherazade Salem (*1996) is an artist, poet, and performer based in Geneva (CH). She graduated from HEAD — Geneva in 2023, and was awarded the NEW HEADS Prize as well as the bourses déliées of the FCAC. In 2025, she was a finalist for the Kiefer Hablitzel Prize in Basel. She has taken part in several exhibitions and festivals, including Interventions on frequency – a performance series (Migros Museum, Zurich, 2023) and Les Urbaines (Arsenic, Lausanne, 2022).
Her multidisciplinary practice weaves together writing, video, installation, and performance. Drawing from personal and family narratives, she explores mechanisms of transmission and fragmentation, as well as the possibilities of rewriting them. By interlacing different temporalities, spaces, and voices, Salem creates emotional landscapes that invite reflection on our ties to what we inherit, and on how these relations inscribe themselves and shape our perception of the world. Through a poetic approach, she seeks to shed light on manifestations of love and hope, drawing attention to subtle yet meaningful gestures.
